Lebron James and Richard Jefferson have a responsibility to fans and Americans as a whole; a responsibility to stand for what is American AND decent as role-models. But when they (part of Cleveland Cavaliers) tell everyone they may OR will avoid visiting the White House as then NBA Champs, they are the lowest form of scum.
Now we see that the current champs, Golden State warriors, are pulling that same hat trick about not going to the White House. Here’s what star player Steven Curry had to say: “Somebody asked me about it a couple months ago, like a hypothetical, if a championship were to happen what I’d do and I think I answered ‘I wouldn’t go.’ I still feel like that today.”
This video shows just how the NBA feels about America and President Trump. Remember they had no problem visiting Obama.
It is the liberal way to whine and fight against anything that disagrees with their agenda. President Trump is definitely not in their framework of where they want America to be. Too bad you spineless crybabies. He won and you SHOULD have the decency to act like Americans.
But what we have seen in the past few years are celebrities of all types that shame Trump and his office. If Obama had faced such rudeness, the liberal media would scream racism. Because Obama could never do anything wrong.
But sports figures like James and Jefferson must realize they set a bad tone by their lack of respect for the office. My sons were taught that no matter who is president, you show the office respect. People now a days refuse to teach their children the respect goes with the presidency.
The words of Lebron and Jefferson.
When asked if he would accept an invitation to visit the Trump White House after winning the NBA trophy, Lebron stated;
“I don’t know. That’s something I would cross. We’ll have to cross that road, I guess. We’ll see. I would love to have to cross that road.”
At least for James there was room to consider…although the answer should have been automatically affirmative.
Jefferson was more direct and succinct;
“Words cannot express the honor I feel being the last team to visit the White House tomorrow.”
Jefferson may be a great ballplayer but as a patriot or a man he leaves great room for improvement.
The whole “BlackLivesMatter” movement has done nothing but increase the dividing lines of this country. They scream they want justice and tolerance, yet they are the biggest offenders to that very rhetoric on their part.
The NBA should be boycotted by everyone that voted Trump and those that believe in civility and respect. If that happened, the stadiums would be a lot emptier as conservatives make up a huge portion of basketball fandom.
Share on Facebook the attitude of the NBA and its players towards our President. Teach them a lesson.
