A Moment of Silence Becomes a Moment of Truth. They pulled this stunt in a Western nation and it was quite obvious what they were thinking.
We deal with enough of this disrespect from some Americans sports teams and individuals. A guy in California refuses to stand for the National Anthem.
An NBA team skirts going to the White House given an invitation. Now on the foreign sports stage, a team refuses to show respect for victims of the London Bridge terrorist attack.lack
This attitude on the part of sports (and other celebrities) figures to moral maturity and not show signs and attitudes of respect is sickening.
The Saudi team at a major soccer event refused to observe a simple moment of silence for the victims of the attack that occurred recently in London. They acted like morons and deigned to offer even a symbolic show of sympathy.
The liberal fools in mainstream media don’t even report this abominable action by the Saudis. If terrorism is involved, they never mention the Muslim connection. Why? Because they do not want to insult Islam in any fashion.
The Saudi soccer team? It was playing in the World Cup qualifiers in Adelaide against the Australian team. Prior to the start of the game, the announcer called for a moment of silence to commemorate the victims of the London Bridge terror attack, among whom were two Australian women. But the Saudi players ignored the commemoration and simply moved into formation on the field. Meanwhile, the Saudi players on the bench refused to stand for the minute of silence.
As Sheik Mohammad Tawhidi later explained to the press:
In their eyes the attackers are martyrs who are going to paradise. And if they stand for a minute of silence they are against their Muslim brothers who fought for jihad and fought [against] the infidels.
Besides, as the sheik helpfully added, “according to Wahhabi Islam – which governs Saudi Arabia – it is not wrong or a sin for a Muslim to kill a non-Muslim.” So, from a multicultural viewpoint, you can’t blame the Saudi team. You can’t expect them to mourn the death of people who deserve to die.
Surely the Saudi team must have been mistaken to refuse? No way they could seriously support the Islamic message of murder? At least doing so from a major sporting event…you know where sports draws all peoples together. Where political and national ideologies are set aside for the mere act of sportsmanship?
The wack job sheik pretty much indicates that the team was doing their duty by not showing respect. Guess what sheik…you try your rhetoric in these United States and you will see what your response is from Trump.
Sharia allows Muslims to kill non-Muslims. Sounds like reverse profiling at best and egregious at worst.
The Manchester attacker’s sister has her own message for her brother’s horrific attack at the Ariana Grande concert.
Salman’s 18-year-old sister also seems to have picked up the message that it’s okay to kill non-Muslims if your intentions are pure. Jomana Abedi posted on Facebook an Arabic prayer celebrating her brother’s entry into paradise. The translation reads:
[To the righteous it will be said], O reassured soul, return to your Lord, well pleased and pleasing [to Him] and enter among my [righteous servants], and enter My Paradise.
Since Jomana worked at the Didsbury Mosque (as did her father), we can assume that she had more than a passing knowledge of the faith. In fact, there is evidence that those Muslims with a better knowledge of their faith are more accepting of the violence that it commands. For example, a German study involving in-depth interviews with 45,000 respondents found that Islam is the only religion that makes its adherents more prone to violence the more religious they become. According to Christian Pfeiffer who headed the study, “Even when other social factors were taken into account, there remained a significant correlation between religiosity and readiness to use violence.”
Why are the mosques within the UK , and America for that fact, allowed to exist when they preach violence against whites, gays and non-Muslims? If a Christian spouted off that rhetoric, the government would close them down in short order.
Salman’s Didsbury Mosque hosted speakers that called for destruction of these same peoples. It’s time they be looked over one by one and their doors barred shut.
There is no honor in murder of any group. Liberals might say differently, but they are the biggest offenders against valued thinking and actions.
Do you believe that the Saudi soccer team should have been allowed to play after their silent demonstration supporting the murders?
